This website is run jointly by Melksham Town Council and Melksham Without Parish Council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • many PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software

  • some images may not have appropriate alternative text

  • some links may not clearly describe their purpose

However, the Joint Melksham Neighbourhood Plan 2 document, which forms the adopted planning policy, has been prepared in a more accessible format than supporting documents and is considered accessible for most users.

This website contains a large number of technical and supporting documents produced as part of the Neighbourhood Plan process. Many of these documents were prepared by third parties during the development of the Plan.

Retrofitting all supporting documents to meet accessibility standards would be a disproportionate burden. However, we will provide accessible versions of documents on request where reasonably practicable.
